Swim Ulster Schools Championships

Well done to our Swimmers Max McPherson, Tara Bergeron, Ella Shaw, Sophie Shaw, Jack Finn, Ciara Brown & Ronan Diamond who competed in the Swim Ulster Schools Championships at Aurora, Bangor on Saturday & Sunday.
Max made the 100m Butterfly final, and Tara came 6th in the 200IM. All the swimmers got PB’s and loved the tough experience against the best swimmers in Ulster. A special shout out to the year 8’s who had their first Rainey swims.
Thanks to Swim Ulster, staff and parents who helped the pupils enjoy a fab event 🏊‍♂

Swim Ulster School’s Cup & Championships 2018

The following are the results of the swimmers representing Rainey Endowed School –
Max McPherson reached the 100 metre Fly final and was placed 8th (looks like it was a PB but would need to check with his coach from Ballymena Swimming Club (Louise) or Max).  He was 17th in the 100m Freestyle.  Looks like another PB;
Tara Bergeron came 6th in the 200m IM (PB) and 15th in the 100m Freestyle (PB);
Ciara Brown – 2 PBS in 100m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle;
Ronan Diamond – 2 PBS in 50m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke;
Jack Finn – PB in the 50m Backstroke and finished 19th;
Ella Shaw – 2 PBs in the 100m Breaststroke and  100m Freestyle;
Sophie Shaw – 16th in the 50m Breaststroke and PB.
Fantastic results by Rainey Endowed School considering in some events there were over 100 competitors from all the schools in Northern Ireland.
