As you are aware at Rainey there is a long tradition of pupils giving service to others and this year has been no exception. ASHA is a charity which the School has been involved with for a number of years that aims to “transform lives in the slums of Dehli”. Inspired by the work of the charity the ASHA RES team, together with Rainey Rugby Support Group are now aiming to raise money by holding an exciting and innovative event…’Colour Me RES’!

‘Colour Me RES’ will take place on Friday 6th October and is a sponsored fun run where pupils and staff are covered in various colours of powdered paint as they run / dance / crawl / walk around the course. However, in true RES fashion we are also aiming to make this go viral! We’re hoping we are the first Mid Ulster School to stage such a fun charity event! We would like to emphasise that this is an optional event but we are really excited about it and we hope everyone will get involved. Pupils may run or walk and there are lots of other ways to help.

Please note that the powdered paint is natural corn starch coloured with fully tested food and cosmetic dyes. It is biodegradable, non-hazardous, non-toxic, fully tested and the safest powder on the market!

The registration fee is £5 per pupil which will include a T-shirt and a pair of sunglasses. Pupils will then be provided with sponsor forms to raise money for ASHA and Rugby Fund Raising Committee.

If you or your company would be interested in sponsoring the event, we would be really excited to hear from you and would ask that you please contact Rainey Endowed School. All donations are greatly appreciated!
