On the 24th September 2014, RES hosted the first ever French taster course for the P7 pupils from the three local primary schools- Magherafelt Primary, Holy Family and Spires Integrated primary. This was held as part of our European day of languages celebrations.
Pupils took part in three language workshops where they were taught greetings, pets and numbers by the L6 and U6 French students. We planned all of the lessons and made the resources and we used lots of fun and interactive activities to teach the pupils.
After all the hard work was done, the primary school pupils got to sample some chocolate chip brioche and some orange juice and each pupil who took part received a certificate.
We all had a fantastic day and enjoyed getting to teach the primary school pupils and would like to thank Mrs Crawford and Mrs Service for all the work that they put into organising the day and giving us all the opportunity to take part.
