This week sees the newly appointed Digital Leaders embark upon their role within the Rainey, not only promoting the use of ICT throughout the school but also playing a fundamental role in helping to raise awareness of Online Safety to students and parents.

Do not use #SimSimi – a warning for pupils and parents

In the past week the use of an app named SimSimi has increased.

 

Rainey Endowed wishes to warn against the use of this app and advises that it is deleted off devices immediately.

 

Pupils, please be aware that the use of this app may lead to incidences of cyberbullying. All such reported incidences will be investigated and will be dealt with inline with the Pupils’ ICT Acceptable Use Policy.  If in doubt please speak to one of the Digital Leaders in school or the e-safety co-ordinator  (Mr Palmer).

 

Parents, please be vigilant and warn your children of the dangers of this app. Supervise the removal of this app from your children’s device.

 

Once deleted, the app cannot access information from devices and poses no further danger.
