Ulster U15 Talent Development
Ulster Hockey invited 220 girls from right across Ulster to attend U15 Talent Assessment trials in Belfast on the 27 September 2014.
The girls were tested over 2 hours and the standard was extremely high, all six players from the Rainey who attended performed extremely well.
The Rainey is delighted to announce that three players, Alex Burns, Ellie Montgomery and Betty Scott are to be congratulated on being amongst the 70 girls across Ulster to be offered a place in the Ulster U15 Talent Development Programme. Alex and Betty return from last year while this will be Ellie’s first year.
The programme will run in the University of Jordanstown for 9 Sundays before Christmas and 9 Sundays after Christmas, with the most talented players being invited for U16 Ulster Trials in April 2015.
In November Ulster Hockey then invited over 30 Goal Keepers from across the province for Ulster U15 Goal Keeper trials. Katie Rose Thompson attended these trials which were also of an extremely high standard and the school is delighted to announce that Katie Rose was successfully picked to attend the U15 goalkeeping Ulster Training Camp and which will run in Wallace High School also on Sundays.
Well done to all the girls, the Rainey Endowed is very proud of your success and dedication to your sport.
