Rainey ES Medallion enter the Shield
On Saturday 16th January Rainey ES host Regent House in Round 3 of the Medallion Shield. This is their first encounter in the Shield this season and everyone within the squad are looking forward to the game. Their opponents, however, have already played a game beating Wellington College in Round 2. The Rainey squad has had a very good season with impressive victories against Dalriada, RS Dungannon, Ballymena Academy and Campbell College against their name. It is an extremely talented squad and they have exceptional players throughout. However, Bryn Davies and Jack Bresland have been selected by the Ulster U17 Squad and Karl Warner is being watched by their coaches. Unfortunately, Peter McLean got injured just before Christmas and so will miss the game.
Rainey coaches Graeme Eastwood and Dylan Davies have prepared the team expertly. If the boys play at a high intensity and go out with belief then they should have too much for Regent. It is hoped that a large crowd can attend to cheer the team to victory.
The game is on this Saturday at home with a 10.30am kick off. All support will be much appreciated.
