However they failed to press home their initiative and let Portsdown in for a converted try and a 7 5 lead. Rainey regained the lead with a Adam Currie try and a Jac Lloyd Evans conversion. Just before half time a driving lineout resulted in a Portadown try and a share of the spoils at half time. At the start of the 2nd half Rainey failed to deal with the kick off and Portsdown scored to go 19 12 up. To their credit the young Rainey side then took the game by the scruff of the neck dominating both possession and territory until the end. They scored 3 tries by Andrew Hawe and Bryn Davies (2) with Jac Lloyd Evans kicking 2 conversions. 2nd XV won 21 0 with tries from Aaron Hamilton, Todd Smyth and Paul McErlean. Michael McIvor kicked 3 conversions. Medallion lost 36 5 with Ross Speers scoring the try. Junior results v Clounagh JHS. U14s won 52 7 with tries from Leon Martin (2), Shea Conway (2), Matthew Dripps (2), Peter McGinley and Matthew Carson. Daniel Barfoot kicked 5 conversions and Matthew Kissick kicked 1.
