Ulster Schools U15 Area Board Tournament 2016

The Ulster Hockey Schools U15 Area Board Tournament was held in Lisnagarvey Hockey Club on Thursday the 7 March. For this tournament the Ulster schools are divided into 6 Areas Board Teams. Selection for theses teams is through trials and the Rainey Endowed School was very well represented on the North East North Team with six girls successfully selected from our area of Coleraine Grammar, Ballymena Academy, Dalriada, Cambridge House and Slemish College.
The Rainey girls were Captain, Erin Anderson, Charlotte Beggs, Dawn Francis, Alexandra McKinlay, Ellie Montgomery and Emma Payne.
The North East North Team enjoyed a great tournament drawing 1-1 with the Southern Team but winning their other four matches to become outright tournament winners. Many congratulations to all the team but in particular our six Rainey Girls.
Many thanks also to Mrs Henry as the Ulster Schools Secretary for the smooth organisation of the tournament and to Mrs Burns attendance as a Ulster Schools U16 selector.
The girls now have to wait and see who will be selected for Ulster U16 trials.
