Rainey ES 42 A Ballymena XV 14 (HT 35 0). Played at Meadowbank 3G pitch. In very wet and windy conditions Rainey played with the wind. They put the Ballymena back 3 under a lot of pressure. They seemed to adapt best to the extreme elements scoring first half tries by Adam Currie, Cameron Stewart, Matthew Smyth, Matthew Mulholland and Adam Thornton. Ballymena responded with 2 converted tries of their own in the 2nd half. Rainey scored an excellent try by Neal Hastings into the wind. In poor conditions Lorcan Quinn kicked 5 from 7 conversions. In the second half Rainey took the opportunity to play a number of their squad members.
