Rainey Endowed School offers a broad and balanced curriculum designed to meet the needs and aspirations of all pupils, to enable our pupils to become Successful Learners, Confident Individuals and Responsible Citizens.
Our curriculum is research-informed and pupil-engaged, delivering a progressive learning experience across all key stages. Through individual pupil meetings to agree a personalised pathway, an integrated pastoral and academic approach and a well-developed Learning Support team, we ensure high-quality support for every learner. Our aim is for every student to choose a combination of subjects that builds on their strengths and supports future success. A strong partnership between home, school and pupil underpins our approach. We continually review and adapt our provision, including the introduction of vocational qualifications and targeted, data-informed enrichment to promote engagement, aspiration and inclusion. Access to a wider subject range is enhanced through the Magherafelt and Rural Learning Partnership. A comprehensive CEIAG programme begins in Key Stage 3, with employability skills embedded across the curriculum to prepare pupils for future pathways.
