Rainey Rugby results Saturday 29 September 1st XV v Portadown College

26 Rainey ES 22 (HT 7 0). In a pretty even first half Portadown scored right on the stroke of the half to lead 7 0. They followed this up with another try at the start of the2nd half to make it 14 0. Rainey then responded with a Rory Bradley try and a Jonathan Drennan conversion. In a really entertaining game Portadown scored again to make it 21 7. Rainey then dominated the next 20 minutes scoring 3 tries by Bryn Davies (2) and an excellent David Dripps try. This gave Rainey a 22 21 lead. With the last play of the game Portadown scored in the corner to win an exciting game 26 22.
2nd XV lost 19 5 to Portadown College with Marc Seffen scoring the try
Medallions lost 24-17 to Portadown College with tries from Matthew Thom, Jake McConnell and Ben Brown.Louis Regan converted one try.
Rainey U14s lost 32 – 38 Killycomaine JHS. Jack Atkinson scored 3 tries and Sam Lennox 1. Jack McCavana kicked 2 conversions. Rainey U13s won 17 – 10 against Killycomaine.
Nathan Overend scored 3 tries and James Cappell kicked 1 conversion.
