U16 Irish girls
After a series of trials in Dublin newly appointed U16 Irish girls coach Brendon Carolan has announced the players for the Ireland U16 Squad.
Many congratulations to Charlotte Beggs, of Rainey Endowed School, who is delighted to be included in this selection.
Commenting, Carolan said “As an initial entry point into the Ireland women’s hockey programme, our aim is to create a long term pathway. A pathway to facilitate conditioning, technical athlete development and ultimately provide these athletes with every chance to make the Senior women’s programme in years to come.
I look forward to working with the future of Ireland women’s hockey.
Charlotte will attend national training sessions in Dublin as the squad trains to prepare for a 4 Nations Tournament in Germany, tests against Scotland in July and a 6 Nations Tournament hosted in Belfast in July.
Well done Charlotte.
