Ulster Cross Country Championships

Well done to the Rainey Cross-country runners to attended the USSAA Ulster Secondary Schools Cross – country Championships today at the City of Belfast Playing Fields, Mallusk.

It was a bright, dry but very cold day and wet underfoot – all runners had to keep well – warmed up before racing. Nevertheless, all our athletes competed with great spirit with the BBC covering the event by live stream.

Two teams raced for the Rainey – Mini Girls and Mini Boys (Year 8), along with individual qualifiers Poppy Hastings, Krzysztof Sokol and Tom Wilkinson (Year 9).

We hope the Rainey racers all enjoyed the event and well done again!!
