The GCSE results at Rainey Endowed have been excellent. 21% of all passes were at A* grade and 57% at A*/A grade. 98% of all examinations were passed at a standard of A*-C grade.

Half of the year group had at least 6A*/A grades.

Rainey Endowed pupils have excelled at ‘A’ Level examinations in 2015.

Rainey 5th in the League Tables

Yesterday the Irish News newspaper published the latest league table for Northern Ireland Grammar Schools according to A-Level exam performance (13/14).

Staff, pupils and friends of Rainey Endowed are delighted to rank in 5th position according to this most recent data.

Congratulations to Aisling Donnelly who was placed top in GCE Art and Design and Amy Thompson who was placed top in both GCE Biology and Chemistry in the 2014 examinations. To mark this outstanding achievement, both girls received recognition from the exams board CCEA at an awards ceremony held at the Stormont Hotel.Well done girls, we are all delighted in your achievements!!

Rainey Pupil First in GCSE PE

Rainey Endowed pupils excel at ‘A’ Level examinations

The new Headmaster of Rainey Endowed School, Mr Mark McCullough, Governors and all staff are delighted with the fantastic performance of our pupils at A Level.   A Level grades are at 50% A*/A which not only is an improvement of 3% on last year but reverses the national trend.  This demonstrates the outstanding nature of our school and these results are an excellent way to start the school’s tercentenary celebrations.  As Headmaster, I join with the staff and Governors in wishing our pupils continual success as they begin the next chapter of their lives, at work or in higher education.  I want to also thank the staff, students and parents for all their hard work and contribution to ‘The Rainey’.

The Governors and I are delighted with the performance of our pupils at A Level. This year the majority of our pupils ‘A’ Level grade are at A grade (51%). The new A* is included within this number.

In the current time of difficulty with gaining university places and further education our pupils have excelled. This is a reflection on their hard work and the years of nurture, in the home, Primary School and finally within the Rainey. I join with the staff and Governors in wishing our pupils every success as they move into the next phase of life, into the world of work or higher level study.

Lions Club Peace Poster competition

The winners have been announced to the Lions Club Peace Poster competition. This year’s theme was ‘Visions of Peace’ and the winners selected were Tara Falkingham 2D and Cathy Parke 3B.

Congratulations to both girls; their poster designs are now going forward to the All Ireland finals to be held in the New Year.
