European Day of Languages 2018

This year, as part of our celebrations for European Day of Languages, we invited two local primary schools to participate in French taster lessons.
For the first session, we had P6 and P7 pupils from Castledawson Primary School and for the second session we had P6 pupils from Spires Integrated Primary School. Through a variety of interactive activities, pupils were taught French numbers, animals and colours.

Each pupil was awarded a certificate to celebrate their achievement and they all enjoyed some French brioche and orange juice. Mrs Crawford and Mrs Service would like to thank the following pupils for their hard work and enthusiasm with this event – Emma McCann, Laura Lynch, Alice Clarke, Joanna Kyle, Zac McMenemy, Harry Turkington, Erin Henry and Rachel McBride.
