Rainey Endowed scoop 85 medals at Sportshall Athletics 2016

Thursday11th February saw the start of the athletics season for the Rainey Endowed athletes with the County Londonderry /North Antrim Final Sports Hall Athletics competition held in Meadowbank Sport Arena between the areas secondary schools. Sportshall Regional Finals provide an indoor multi-event competition helping budding athletes to develop athletics based skills. Traditional events are introduced in adapted forms suitable for the indoor environment. County teams from across England compete in regional events, whilst finals are staged in Ulster and Manchester.

All teams are bidding for a place at the UK Final!

The boys and girls U13 and U15 athletics teams from the Rainey Endowed enjoyed a great day winning a total of 85 medals.

 

The Ulster Finals will be held on Thursday 10th March in Meadowbank Sport Arena. There will be two training sessions on Monday 29th February and 7th March from 4.00-5.15pm in Magherafelt High School to select a County Derry team.
