Congratulations to Naomi Drennan 9A (winner) and Alison Brown 9B (runner-up) of the Lions Club Peace Poster competition. Both girls designs were excellent and answered the theme of ‘Peace without borders’ with great skill and creative flair.

Naomi’s poster has subsequently been awarded the Iain McKay Memorial Cup for the most creative design from the Magherafelt area. Her work now goes through to the All-Ireland final. Well done girls!

Congratulations to Chloe

Congratulations to Chloe O’Lone L6 whose GCSE Art and Design work was featured as part of the CCEA True Colours exhibition at the Ulster Museum, Belfast.
Year 10 pupils considering taking art next year along with all of the GCSE and A level classes visited this inspirational exhibition, which showcases creative and talented pupils work from across the province.

The Rainey’s art department is proud to have Chloe’s work on show and is testament to the gifted and talented pupils we have in our school.  Well done Chloe!
